Cockroaches in Australia can fly. We know this for two reasons: (1) Neighbor Cynthia educated us to this fact after receiving our initial 911 (or in Australia, 000) text regarding Cory’s presence in our home and (2) we think Cory must have used those wings as he was being flung off the deck, as his body did not appear in the yard alongside the plastic container he was residing in when the launching took place. Clearly Gina didn’t think too highly of our new house guest.
