Time again for one of our most popular regular postings: Where in the World is Gina?

Based on my current calculations, I overestimated a few weeks ago how many blue pins would be needed to complete her journey, concluding that I wouldn’t have enough unless I moved the car for the first time in two weeks. So I did purchase more and now I won’t need them. But don’t be alarmed; this is of little consequence in our household. Not because the map pins only cost $2.84 but because Gina, the Queen of Returns, will be home to take them back before the 90 day satisfaction guaranteed window is up. And I saved the receipt because this is what one does in our household so one doesn’t get into trouble.

Team TransAm is on their final layover day of the trip. Gina said that her entire day “focused around food.” There was breakfast followed by Jake’s arrival followed by lunch followed by ice cream followed by the Olympic Finals between Simon and Ubald (crown the Netherlands king) followed by dinner followed by dessert.  It’s a good thing Gina’s burning 4,000 calories a day or all of this would be followed by a membership to Weight Watchers.
