I don’t know how to spell it but I could go on eating it until I gained 200 pounds. It’s called a “beignet” and it’s doughy, sweet, and covered in heaps of powdered sugar. Coupled with my coffee, it’s like heaven on a sticky plate.
It’s Easter in New Orleans which means beignets, brunch, silly hats, seersucker suits, and parades. I don’t like to talk with my mouth full, so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
