Savannah, GA
We’re on Square number 16 only now I’m starting to doubt my math as I realize I’ve kind of lost track of which ones we’ve visited and which ones we haven’t, so I suppose it’s possible we’re only on Square 12 or maybe we’ve vaulted all the way up to number 20. I don’t breathe a word of this to Gina in fear that she’ll make us start over and after yesterday’s Great Flip-Flop Debacle, I’m not sure if my arches would sustain me for another round.
It’s a lovely day for wandering around the city, beginning with Forsyth Park, continuing through the city squares in an attempt to knock off all 22 which we may or may not have done, depending on who was counting and if that person wasn’t me, window shopping along Savannah’s main thoroughfare, and treating ourselves to ice cream at Leopold’s, a near-continuous fixture in Savannah since 1919. I may not have covered as many miles on foot today as on an average cycling day on the Southern Tier, but that scoop of chocolate mint chip went down just as easy.
All caught up again. Love the way you write Dena. I’m putting Savannah high on the list. Where are you girls these days?
